Nova Scotia’s aquaculture industry is valued at about $52 million. To recognize the aquaculture industry, festival organizers have arranged for free seafood samples, a touch tank and face painting for children, and entertainment by local musicians. Mr. Chisholm will present a $1,000 bursary to the local high school to be awarded to a graduating student who is pursuing post-secondary studies in aquaculture or in an aquaculture-related field. The festival takes place from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Town Centre in Digby. Admission is free.last_img
