first_imgFAI CUP REPLAY: After 180 minutes of football First Division league leaders Finn Harps and Premier Division side Longford Town still can’t be separated.On Friday night, at the City Calling Stadium Harps earned a fabulous result after playing the game with just TEN men for almost SEVENTY minutes after Damien McNulty was red carded following a poor challenge.Gareth Harkin’s super strike was cancelled out by Stephen Rice and Longford pressed hard for the win. Heroics from Finn Harps goalkeeper Ciaran Gallagher ensured Harps got a replay against Tony Cousin’s side tonight.However, at a rain soaked Finn Park tonight the two sides could still not find a breakthrough and were deadlocked again after 90 minutes.The adverse weather conditions has made the playing conditions very difficult and the game has been battle with both sides picking up yellow cards in a game that has plenty of bite in it as you’d expect in a FAI cup tie.There will now be THIRTY minutes of extra-time to see if either side can clinch their place in the next round.
