Men’s Golf Set To Play At Kingsmill Intercollegiate

first_imgWILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Drake University men’s golf team returns to action on Sunday for the Kingsmill Intercollegiate at the Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Va. The 54-hole event hosted by William & Mary will run from Sunday through Tuesday featuring 24 teams. The 24-team field includes; Appalachian State, Binghamton, Dayton, Delaware, Drake, Eastern Kentucky, High Point, IPFW, Longwood, Loyola (MD), Maryland, Ohio, Old Dominion, Penn State, Radford, Seton Hall, St. Francis (PA), St. Joseph’s, TCU, Temple, Tennessee, Towson, William & Mary and Youngstown State. The Bulldogs’ last time out was at the Sacramento State Invitational on March 7-8, where Drake had to battle cold and rainy conditions. Sophomore Drew Ison led the team by carding a 228 (77-77-74), good for tied for 34th-place. Freshman Jack Kennedy recorded a 233 (79-79-75), while Matt Lavery tallied a 234 (77-78-79). Blake Huser and Tommi Avant rounded out the Bulldogs effort with scores of 238 (84-77-77) and 242 (78-83-81), respectively. Following the Kingsmill Intercollegiate, the Bulldogs head to Bloomington, Ind. for the NYX Hoosier Invitational on April 2 through April 3. Print Friendly Versionlast_img
